Introducing the Rubenesque Hobo!

Rubenesque Hobo

Hi Everyone!

After months of keeping this pattern a secret and then watching all the lovely versions being made at the Bag Fanatics Retreat (BFR) a few weeks ago, I am so glad that it is FINALLY time to release the pattern!

Buy the pattern in my Etsy store 😉

Or you can purchase The Rubenesque Hobo Pattern as part of the Bag Fanatics Australia (BFA) BUNDLE is also available in my Craftsy store!
If you chose to purchase the bundle (which will only be available for a limited time), you will save $$ and have access to all 4 BFR patterns including…

all1Left to right: The Urban Bucket Bag by Little Moo Designs, The Sew Compleate Tote by Two Pretty Poppets, The Rubenesque Hobo by ME ;), and The Matilda Bag by Hide4350.

Each bag has wonderful features…

two pretty poppets: Sew Compleat Shoulder Tote
This small sized tote is just the thing to mix and match those fabric scraps you’ve been holding on to since forever! Use the outer pleating to create a beautiful, textured effect or simply use one single cut of fabric for a quicker yet just as stunning tote bag. With soft curves and a magnetic snap closure, the Sew Compleat Shoulder Tote will quickly become your go-to bag for gifts…. And yourself!

Little Moo Designs: Urban Bucket Bag
The Urban Bucket Bag is a casual style bag mixed with amazing textures of various fabrics and edgy hardware! It features a large pouch style pocket on the front, a leather base and side accents. The Urban is finished with eyelets and a drawstring closure. It’s an easy style of bag to carry for a day out at the markets, a trip to the beach, or shopping with friends. With a focus on adding a leather base and side accent pieces, this is the perfect introduction to sewing with leather (genuine or faux).

HIDE4350: Matilda Bag
The Matilda Bag is a large, simple tote style, designed to be used everyday. The clean, crisp lines of natural leather stand center stage, and if you use the recommended leather from Packer Leather, she will age and take on an antiqued look. The lining is designed to be reversible, and interchangeable, meaning that you can update your look regularly with little outlay. As the outer leather is a long-term investment, the ability to change the lining will ensure your Matilda Bag will be a staple in your wardrobe for years to come.

Now on to my favourite – although I am biased as this is MY pattern 😉

The Rubenesque Hobo is a plump girl, with all the right curves. She is a medium-large sized bag with an opening that closes with a zipper. You can throw over your shoulder before running out of the house. She’s ultra chic with enough space to carry everything you deem a “necessity”, plus more! She features internal zip and slip pockets. On top of all that she is a quick sew!

The finished size of The Rubenesque Hobo measures approximately 12 ½” tall x 16” widest point x 3” deep (32cm x 40.5cm x 7.5cm); this does not include the drop of the handle.

This hobo has been designed to be made using faux leather accents, however, leather or woven fabrics can be used instead – instructions have been included to make your hobo from these too!

What are the requirements for The Rubenesque Hobo?  Well keep reading my friend…
