Mrs H’s Sunburst Clutch

Hi Everyone

I have been pattern testing again for Mrs H 🙂

This is my version of her new pattern the Sunburst Clutch.

I used pink fabrics from my scrap box along with the pink bird fabric I purchased at AQC a few weeks ago.  I teamed my pink fabrics with silver denim purchased at spotlight (I’m really loving this denim at the moment – I used it very recently…).  For the internal slip pocket I used a scrap from my purple box (its a Melly and me fabric).

This project is a great scrap buster!  The clutch is a great size for a night out and if I was to make it again the only thing I would add would be an external zip pocket on the back (as I just prefer bags that have an external pocket ;D)

The instructions are very thorough – as usual  from Mrs H – and even if you have never paper pieced before, I think you should be able to accomplish this easy pattern, so you could try giving this bag a go as a first attempt at this technique.

Right now Samantha has the clutch pattern on SALE in her Etsy store…just use the code NEWPATTERN15 for 15%off!

My clutch (pictured above) will be available for sale in the “Birds Of A Feather” showcase on 22-24 June 2015 over at Harley B on Facebook.
