The Wild & Raw Pouch is here!

Hi Everyone!

I am so pleased today to be participating in a BLOG HOP with some other really wonderful blogs! We have all banded together to bring you some wonderful BACK TO SCHOOL SEWING ideas and inspiration!

Sew Much Fun Blog Hop

I have 2 great patterns to share with you today that are PERFECT for this Back to School blog hop theme!

The 1st is my NEW pattern The Wild & Raw Pouch!

So if you have been following along you will remember that in June I released my exclusive PAPER Wild & Raw Pouch pattern via Cotton Factory!  You can read all about that here.

But today, I have deiced to release the PDF version of the pattern as it makes a wonderful pencil case for those who want a stylish pouch when they are back to school!  This pattern has been designed to be made with leather (vinyl etc. may be used instead – but this one is not able to be made in fabric, sorry guys!) and can be sewn on the machine or by hand!!!!

This is my 1st full diagram (rather than colour instructional photos) pattern, although if you have the Hippo Clutch Wallet pattern you will have seen a sneak peek of my diagrams in there…But for those of you who want a sneak peek of the diagrams included in this pattern just have a look…

The Wild & Raw Pouch is a fantastic project to get your feet wet if you have never worked with leather before! The finished pouch is great to grab and go, while looking stylish. The pattern will help you create a professional pouch which you can customise to make your own. The Wild & Raw Pouch is quick make so is ideal for gifts or for whipping up inventory items at a lower price point for your business.

The finished size of The Wild & Raw Pouch measures approximately 10” wide x 6″ tall (27cm wide x 16.5cm tall). This Pouch has been designed to be made using Leather, however Faux Leather/Vinyl can be used instead.

This is a great pattern to try if you’ve never worked with leather before too! You can learn how to hand stitch or machine sew leather in this pattern, while not needing much of this expensive material because the Pouch is on the small side..

I kept the tester versions on the down-low for the most part, but I am so excited to share them all with you today! The testers can truly show you just how customisable this pattern really is, it’s fabulous for feeding creativity and being such a quick sew, you won’t be able to stop at one 😉

Now let’s take a moment to appreciate the amazing tester versions that were created during testing…

1st up we have a gorgeous hand sewn version made by Felicity in Marine Vinyl.  As you can see it’s the perfect size for all your little bits and pieces.
Felicity said “I have never made bags because my machine can’t handle it and I’m scared of zippers. This pattern allowed me to make this by hand which I thoroughly enjoyed! Will definitely be making more. You can’t have too many pouches can you?”

Sherrilee made this stunning hand sewn version <3
Sherrilee said, “loved the pattern! It was fun and easy to make and personalise 🙂 I especially love that it can be machine or hand sewn”

This incredibly gorgeous hairy hide version was created by Mitzi!  I thought it was so fabulous I wanted to put it on the cover <3
Mitzi said “I will be definitely making more of this pattern! It is a very quick and easy sew. Relatively inexpensive to make also so would be great for gifts or for whipping up a lower price point for inventory/craft shows. Plus this looks super professional and is great to grab and go and look super stylish!”

Kirrilee made these amazing versions!  I can’t believe she made 3 during testing <3 The sizes of these are 100% (customised zipper wristlet), 75% (customised fringe, letters and wristlet) and 50% (customised appliqué horse 🐴).
Kirrilee said “This was an easy and enjoyable sew. It is easy to customise and yields a finished products in a very short amount of time. They are a little bit addictive too!”

Mel made these fabulous versions! On the one on the Left I’m loving the pink thread and that gorgeous rainbow zipper <3 And with the one on the Right, how amazing are the overlays and those rivets!!!
Mel said “I absolutely LOVED how quick and easy this was to put together! Great way to use up smaller pieces of leather too. RAWsome pattern!”

Melisa made this beautiful Teal version <3 She did some custom lacing as you can see…isn’t it just gorgeous <3
Melisa said “It was quick and easy. I love it!”

Leslie made these absolutely AMAZING versions <3 Aren’t they just gorgeous!
Leslie said “I will be making many more! It’s really easy, quick and there are so many options for embellishments!”

Susan made this lovely version!  How cute (and perfect) is that flower detail <3
Susan said “This pattern is so fast and easy! Creating different varieties of this pouch are endless! I LOVED it!!!”
Charlotte made this beautiful version – don’t you just love the quote on the front – the colours are awesome too, who doesn’t love aqua and hot pink <3
Charlotte said “Such a fast fun sew !! A great pattern for those who want to start sewing with leather as the thickness is minimal. So much room for customization (adding pearls, ribbons, fringes, tassels…). Great for last minutes gifts also!”

Don’t you just LOVE all of them?!  I know I do 🙂

I love how a single pattern can be made to look so different by each person’s creative flair and material choices. Lovely.
